Wives of Wounded Pastors

My name is Kathy Wenzel. I'm the female side of Smoldering Wick Ministries. There are so many emotions associated with pastoral change, termination of ministry, burn out of a spouse, not to mention the everyday struggles of just trying to survive in a hostile world. Sometimes the wife feels completely alone in her role of support and tries to pick up pieces of her life that are impossible for her to put back together. Here is a place where you can post some of your feelings and know that there are people who will be praying for you and with you to make it through some of the darkest times of your life. You are not alone, others have walked this dark trail before and there are others walking it now. What is the most difficult thing you are now experiencing?

Does the Church Care?

Approximately 1,000 to 1,500 leaders (sr. pastors, assoc. pastors, youth pastors,worship leaders, para church ministry leaders) leave their post in North America each month. The church has little or nothing to say about this. I would like to hear your comments on this "unspoken topic" in church culture. Why doesn't the church want to face this issue? I have my personal opinions, which are very strong. Can I hear you thoughts?
